April 25, 2011 9:00 AM

Michael CroucherMICHAEL CROUCHER

Michael has extensive knowledge and experience in Parish Council affairs having been a Parish Councillor for over 20 years and a District Councillor for a four-year term.

Michael has served as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Bramshott and Liphook Parish Council. He chaired Liphook Heritage Centre working party. Based at the Millennium Centre, which is now a valuable asset to the Community. He was also a leading member of the Parish Council's Appraisal working party, which provided invaluable data on Liphook's demographics and infrastructure in order to develop a Parish Plan, to be completed next year.

Michael has lived in Liphook for 39 years, he is a founder member of LiDBA, Chairman of the Liphook Day Centre for the past four years and past Governor of the Infant and Junior schools. He and his wife Jenny have been involved in fundraising for local community in Liphook over many years.

Eve HopeEVE HOPE

Eve Hope has lived in Liphook for 22 years and stood-up for Liphook as District Councillor for the past 8 years. She chaired EHDC's North-East Area Forum, was lead councillor for equality and diversity, and sat on the East Hants Disability Forum. Eve rocked East Hants politics this month as part of a double-defection from the Tories to the Liberal Democrats. Eve supports safe routes to school, Liphook youth club and wants more for young people to do

Eve says

"I am appalled at the Tories' shift to the right including their 20% cuts to community groups and the CAB, and demoting of our social-inclusion agenda. I have resigned from the Conservative Party due to their dysfunctional nature and self-serving attitude of others who do not consider the public they were elected to serve. I am delighted to stand on a positive platform as part of the Liberal Democrat team."

Rob EvansROB EVANS

Rob Evans is a local businessman and has lived in Liphook for 11 years, with his wife and 2 young daughters who attend local schools. He has served on Bramshott and Liphook parish council for a number of years and has 18 years experience as an Accounts Manager . Previous to this he served in the Royal Army Medical Core.

Rob is standing for EHDC as he feels the interests and views of local people were not being effectively represented. Liphook's Tory councillors have been in too long and out of touch with residents they were elected to serve.

Tories have axed our rail link bus, cut CAB and our community groups by 20% now they threatened our buses and our childrens centres.

The people of Liphook have a clear choice on May 5th a strong Lib dem team campaigning for Liphook or more inaction and cuts under the Conservatives.
