She chaired EHDC's North-East Area Forum, was lead councillor for equality and diversity, and sat on the East Hants Disability Forum. Eve rocked East Hants politics this month as part of a double-defection from the Tories to the Liberal Democrats. Eve supports safe routes to school, Liphook youth club and wants more for young people to do
Eve says
"I am appalled at the Tories' shift to the right including their 20% cuts to community groups and the CAB, and demoting of our social-inclusion agenda. I have resigned from the Conservative Party due to their dysfunctional nature and self-serving attitude of others who do not consider the public they were elected to serve. I am delighted to stand on a positive platform as part of the Liberal Democrat team."
ROB EVANS
Rob Evans is a local businessman and has lived in Liphook for 11 years, with his wife and 2 young daughters who attend local schools. He has served on Bramshott and Liphook parish council for a number of years and has 18 years experience as an Accounts Manager . Previous to this he served in the Royal Army Medical Core.
Rob is standing for EHDC as he feels the interests and views of local people were not being effectively represented. Liphook's Tory councillors have been in too long and out of touch with residents they were elected to serve.
Tories have axed our rail link bus, cut CAB and our community groups by 20% now they threatened our buses and our childrens centres.
The people of Liphook have a clear choice on May 5th a strong Lib dem team campaigning for Liphook or more inaction and cuts under the Conservatives.
